The Founders
Renovo Health was founded by two anesthesiologists fed up with their experience bankrupting patients while keeping them lost in a maze of specialists, never knowing if the next step in their journey actually provided them with real benefit or value. A combined forty years of medical practice as healthcare professionals in five different states and several health care systems afford doctors Borene and Johnston a powerful perspective on the critical ingredients of excellent healthcare. While neither is a native of Wisconsin, both have made it home for over a decade and find it home to the people they care about most.
Meet Our Team
Steve Borene
MD MHCDS
Dr. Borene received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota and completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Iowa. He is also a graduate of Tuck Business School at Dartmouth University. Prior to his education, he served his country as an infantryman in the US Marine Corps. He has resided and practiced medicine in Wisconsin since 2006.
Josh Johnston
MD
Dr. Johnston received his medical degree from the University of Iowa, completed his internship at the University of Nebraska, and anesthesiology residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He served as a flight surgeon in the Air Force between his years in Nebraska and St Louis. He has resided and practiced medicine in Wisconsin since 2012.
Keri De Pas
RN
Keri is an enthusiastic and dedicated registered nurse with 24 years of experience working in med/surg and PACU of the hospital setting. She is a lifelong Wisconsinite and received her RN from Excelsior College. She is dedicated to top quality care, patient advocacy, and providing our patients with a compassionate and caring experience.
